When desiring to replace lost or broken Clawfeet for your Clawfoot Bath a couple of things have to be realized. One is it is very difficult to find a replacement without a foot to match too. The second is not all Clawfeet are the same. It is rare in our shop to have the same type of foot come in if, say 5 baths show up for fixing. There are feet that are more common but it is not possible to know from a description alone what you may have. There are limits to the types of feet I believe we have on our shelf about Oh I would say, less than 20 to 30 varieties. Now I will have to go count them, which I have to admit I never have actually counted , somewhere around that. If your bath were present we would try on various feet and usually, about 80 to 90% chance we can find one to fit. We still have baths that we have no feet for. When you do not have a Clawfoot repair or restoration place near you, you can go to local antique stores and ask to borrow (usually for a fee) a foot they have to try on your bath, handy to have the bath in the back of a truck outside. (Upside down, just a thought). If your bath has common feet this method will land you a foot that will work. Then we know of a fellow that will cast a set of feet for you from the copy. Usually for about 30 to 40 dollars a foot. The only other option I can suggest or really can think of, is to consider a cradle system which uses a bed frame type system that supports the bath, and the feet attach to the frame and it does look okay. I will try to put a picture up. The cradle costs around 360.00 for a set, and you can get the feet in Brass or Chrome. Well I hope that helps,we wish you the best for you and your bath, and Thankyou for asking. Pat @ Bathcrest of Seattle
